A few people have asked about following racers during the event and you should be able to see my results. They may not be live, but since the race starts at 9:00 AM in the Sahara (2:00 AM Vancouver time), chances are you will not want to follow me live anyway. You will also be able email competitors during the race.

If you want, you can send emails to the camp. Each competitors emails are printed off and distributed during the evening, and would make a great finish to the [long and gruelling?] day.

There will be a link on www.MarathonDesSables.com that provides a list of every competitor’s name and number. Look for the “écrire aux concurrents/write to competitors” link. (If you happen to pull up the site with French text, you can switch to the English version by clicking on the British/US flag on the top right side of the home page.)

Messages are usually sent to us by clicking on your name and/or race number. When you send a message, please list the name and race number in the “SUBJECT” of the note, if it does not automatically appear when clicking on the provided link.  Please DO NOT SEND ATTACHMENTS or photos of any kind as those will go directly to a SPAM folder and I’ll never see the note.

It would be great to see a message or two each night – I will probably need the distraction!
